It has been predicted that companies will increasingly use cloud computing via mobile devices over the next few years.
The latest report from independent information provider, Visiongain, suggests that the mobile cloud computing marketing although still in its preliminary stage, will grow rapidly by 2016.
Visiongain predicts that $45 billion (£29 million) will be generated in revenue by mobile cloud computing products in the next seven years.
According to the research, the cloud computing sector as a whole will be worth $240 billion in five years time, up from $77 billion this year, with mobile equipment making up a growing portion of this.
The company proposes the reason for the anticipated surge in the popularity of cloud computing are due to increasing smart phone penetration and the growth of 3G network coverage across the globe.
